Well, calling it  a blog is a bit of a stretch really. I think for it to be considered a blog, you’re meant to write more than a small handful of sporadic posts. But it is, according to a notification I just got from WordPress, the second birthday of this website, TatooineDreams.com!

I originally started this site because I like talking and thinking and, let’s be straight-obsessing- about Star Wars. That, and I have an awful lot of in-game screenshots from Star Wars: The Old Republic and I wanted to show them off. I figured Twitter might be getting satiated on pictures of my smugglers looking smug. Also, I had some ideas for a story, which I have actually made some progress on. (The word some is underlined, italicized and in quotations marks.)  A Year Without the Sun is still somewhere in my ether, waiting for me to finish writing it. I hope I can stop making excuses and return to it soon. I am also doing a collaborative story with a friend, called Waypoint, which I have been enjoying and I should have a new installment for that soon.

So yeah, this birthday is not so much about looking at all the cool stuff I have done, cause there hasn’t been too much of that. But it is a celebration of possibilities and things, Maker willing, to come. Star Wars has always been about possibilities to me. The image of the Binary Sunset on Tatooine resounds with hope and determination and unknown horizons yet to be seen. Mostly, I am just happy to have a little sliver of the Internet where I can put my stuff. Life is a work in progress and so is my blog.

Thanks to those who have taken moments out of busy days to look at my words and pictures. I find a lot of happiness talking about Star Wars and SWTOR, and happiness, like a sunset, is best enjoyed when it’s shared. So thank you! And May the Force be with us all!
